Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Panchang World processes, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information processed when you use the site
The web server and hosting provider may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamps and security logs. This information is used to deliver the service, prevent abuse, diagnose failures and protect the website.
Your selected language, theme, place, date, time, live-date preference, notification-offer state and similar interface settings may be stored in your browser using local storage or first-party storage so the site can remember your choices.
Location and place search
Precise device location is requested only after you choose to use your location and your browser asks for permission. Coordinates are used to calculate the local Panchang and may be sent to this website's server for reverse geocoding and calculation.
Place search or reverse geocoding may use third-party data services such as Open-Meteo/GeoNames, OpenStreetMap Nominatim or a configured fallback provider. Those providers may receive the search text or coordinates needed to return a place name. You can deny location permission and enter a place manually; Ujjain is the fallback location when no place is available.
Daily push notifications
Daily notifications are optional. If you choose Yes and grant browser permission, the service stores the browser push endpoint and encryption keys, selected language, timezone and destination URL needed to deliver the 7:00 AM notification. It does not use that subscription to send unrelated marketing messages.
You can disable notifications in your browser or operating-system settings. Expired subscriptions are removed automatically, and you may contact us to request deletion of an active subscription that you can identify.
Google advertising and third parties
Panchang World uses Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or other identifiers to serve, measure and personalise advertisements based on visits to this and other websites. Google's advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on previous visits.
You can manage personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings or use industry opt-out tools where available. Non-personalised advertising may still require cookies or similar technologies for delivery, frequency control, fraud prevention and reporting. Where required by law, a consent or privacy-choice message may be shown before eligible advertising technologies are used.
Sharing, retention and security
Information is shared only as needed with hosting, security, geocoding, push-delivery and advertising providers, or when required by law. We do not sell personal information. Browser-stored settings remain until you clear them; push subscription data remains until you unsubscribe, the endpoint expires or it is deleted; operational logs are retained according to hosting and security needs.
Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet service can promise absolute security or uninterrupted availability. Data may be processed in countries where service providers operate and may therefore be subject to different data-protection rules.
Your choices, children and changes
You can deny or revoke location and notification permissions, clear site data, switch off live date mode, use manual inputs, block cookies in your browser, manage advertising choices and contact us about a privacy request. Some features may not work after certain storage or permission choices are disabled.
The service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us. This policy may be updated when features, providers or legal requirements change; the date shown on the page identifies the current version.
